Li Hong Wei, MD

Dr. Lihong Wei, MD, MS is currently an attending physician at NYHQ, and works as private practitioner in hematology and oncology with Queens Medical Associates, PC. She is board certified in internal medicine hematology and oncology. Dr. Wei is a great advocate of community service as well as professional organizations in the medical field. She currently volunteers by educating cancer patients through the American Cancer Association Chinese Unit.

Dr. Wei graduated from Shandong Medical University, and obtained her master’s degree in physiology. She came to the United States in 1991, and obtained her master’s degree in molecular pharmacology in 1995 at NYU Medical Center. She completed her internal medicine training at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn in 1999, and her fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 2002. She was recognized by Glaxo Smith Kline National Medical Oncology Fellows’ Forum for her outstanding contribution to the field of Medical Oncology. Her research has been published in many academic and clinical journals.
