ACAP Flushing Library June 2024 CHEP 法拉盛图书馆6月健康講座

The Association of Chinese American Physicians (ACAP) will hold a small health talk on Tuesday, June 11th, 2024, from 2 PM to 4 PM in the basement meeting rooms A & B of the Flushing Library. The health talk will be hosted by Linle Hou, MD General Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology, and the topic is “About Heart Failure- what should I do?”

Heart failure is a serious heart condition. Appropriate treatment and healthy management can help patients control heart failure to the greatest extent possible and improve their quality of life. Cardiology specialist Dr. Hou will provide detailed explanations about the factors contributing to heart failure, treatment plans, and things patients need to pay attention to in their daily lives. Everyone is welcome to join!

Linle Hou M.D. is a board-certified cardiologist in Flushing, New York. Dr. Hou was born in China and attended the Bronx High School of Science. He obtained his undergraduate degree from SUNY Stony Brook where he graduated summa cum laude and at the top of his class.  He earned his medical degree (M.D.) from Stony Brook University School of Medicine. He then completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital followed by training in both cardiovascular disease and Interventional Cardiology at North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center. During his training, he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha and mentored by some of the most skilled and highest volume interventional cardiologists in the country. In addition to his commitment to excellent patient care, Dr. Hou has contributed manuscripts to leading cardiovascular journals and presented at multiple national and international conferences.

Since 2007, ACAP has been organizing an annual Community Health Fair, providing free health lectures, health information, and various on-site health screening services to the Chinese community. In addition, ACAP hosts monthly health talk in the community. 美国华人医师会将于2024年6月11日(周二)下午2点至4点,在法拉盛图书馆地下室会议室A&B举行一场小型健康讲座。此次讲座将由心脏专科/介入心脏科的侯林乐医生主持,主题为 “关于心力衰竭 – 我应该怎么办?”

心力衰竭是一种严重的心脏疾病。适当的治疗和健康管理可以帮助患者最大程度地控制心力衰竭,并提高生活质量。心脏专科侯林乐医生将会详细解释关于心力衰竭形成的因素,治疗计划和患者在日常生活里需要注意的地方。欢迎大家来参加!

侯林乐医生出生于中国,后跟随父母移民美国。他在纽约布朗士科学高中毕业,并在纽约州立大学石溪分校以优异成绩获得本科学位。随后,他在纽约州立大学医学院获得了医学博士学位(MD)。侯医生在罗格斯大学完成了内科住院医师实习和培训,随后在纽约的北岸大学医院和长岛犹太医疗中心完成了心脏专科和介入心脏专科的培训。在此期间,他进行了超过4000例的冠状动脉造影和心导管手术。侯医生被选为Alpha Omega Alpha和美国心脏学院院士(FACC)。他还获得了美国心脏病学会/介入心脏病学会的特别考试文凭。在科研方面,侯医生发表了多篇论文并在多个国家和国际会议上做过报告。他致力于为华人社区服务,是纽约市为数不多的能够流利使用国语的介入心脏专科医生之一。
