On the evening of February 12th 2023, the “Love Tag- Brings Love Home” Alzheimer’s Charity Gala was grandly held at Leonard’s Palazzo Penthouse on Long Island, New York. The event was jointly hosted by Relay of Love Foundation, Association of Chinese American Physicians Inc., and iBridge Foundation Inc. Over 200 guests gathered to support the Relay of Love Foundation’s the “Love Tag- Brings Love Home” Alzheimer’s Charity Gala. United States Federal Congressman Grace Meng, Asian-American Advisor to New York Deputy Mayor Peter Koo, New York City Councilor Sandra Ung, New York State Governor Representative and Deputy Commissioner of the New York State Department of Labor Linda Sun, New York Police Department Inspector Tommy M. Ng, CaringKind Alzheimer’s Care Service President Eleonora Tornatore-Mikesh, Vice President Weijing Shi, Representatives from various Chinese-American organizations, community leaders, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and members of the Association of Chinese American Physicians also attended.
The Association of Chinese American Physicians and iBridge Foundation were aware of the helplessness and anxiety of families with Alzheimer’s disease patients who become lost, as well as the irreversible and prevalent nature of this disease. They decided to do something practical to help families affected by Alzheimer’s, and thus collaborated with the Relay of Love Foundation to launch the “Love Tag- Brings Love Home” Alzheimer’s Charity Gala. By using technology products with positioning functions to enable family members to easily locate their loved ones with Alzheimer’s, while also reducing the consumption of social resources. At the event, Relay of Love Foundation established an Alzheimer’s “Medical Expert Committee.” Eight well-known brain and neurosurgeons, including Dr.Ruilang Xu, Dr.Jin Li, Dr. Yingxian Liu, Dr. Weisong Li, Dr. Tony Qingliang Wang, Dr.Dongming Cai, Lei Ding, and Dr. Gary Guo, were appointed as the first members of the Expert Committee. President of the Association of Chinese American Physicians, Dr. Jin Li, and Chairman of the iBridge Foundation, Dr.Ruilang Xu, delivered inspiring speeches. At the same time, the organizers also commended the companies, outstanding caring volunteer teams, and volunteer representatives who have sponsored the foundation for a long time.
As of the time of this writing, the entire event raised a total of $152,100.69 in donations.
