艾姆赫斯特图书馆1月健康講座-口腔健康 Elmhurst Library January Health Talk

The Association of American Chinese American Physicians (ACAP) will hold a small health lecture on January 22nd (Monday) from 11 am to 1 pm in the meeting room on the 3rd floor of the Amherst Library. The lecture will be hosted by Dr. Kher and Dr. Julie Chang from the Association of American Chinese American Physicians, and the topic is ‘Your Oral Health is Key to Well-being.’ The lecture is sponsored by MetroPlusHealth.

Maintaining oral health not only helps ensure the well-being of your teeth and gums but also has a positive impact on overall physical health. There is a close connection between oral hygiene and overall health, as bacteria and inflammation in the mouth may have adverse effects on other organs and systems. Dr. Kher and Dr. Julie Chang will delve into the relationship between oral health and overall health. Studies have shown correlations between the health of teeth and gums and various chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and respiratory system diseases. By maintaining good oral hygiene habits, you can not only prevent cavities and periodontal disease but also reduce the risk of systemic diseases.

This lecture will help participants engage in discussions with professional doctors and gain a deeper understanding of the close connection between oral health and overall physical well-being. Through such attention and preventive measures, everyone can enjoy a healthier and better life in various aspects. Everyone is welcome to participate!
