The Association of Chinese American Physicians (ACPA) will host a small health talk on March 11th, 2024 (Monday) from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Elmhurst Library 3rd floor meeting room. The health talk will be hosted by Dr. Xu Jing, an internal medicine doctor, and the topic is “Which adult vaccine do you need?” The health talk is sponsored by MetroPlusHealth.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) emphasizes that adults should determine their vaccination schedule based on various factors, including age, vaccination history, health status, lifestyle, occupation, travel destinations, and sexual behavior. These factors influence an individual’s risk of diseases and whether specific vaccinations are necessary. Therefore, it is recommended that adults discuss with healthcare professionals to develop a vaccination plan tailored to their individual circumstances, to maximize protection against infectious diseases. Dr. Jing Xu, an internal medicine physician, will discuss the importance of adult vaccinations during this health talk.
