The Association of Chinese American Physicians (ACAP) will hold a small health talk on Tuesday, February 27th, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM in the lower floor conference room A & B of the Flushing Library. The theme of this lecture is ‘Diet and Cancer Prevention.’
Cancer is a serious health issue that can affect various parts of the body and pose a threat to life. Treating cancer often requires a significant amount of effort, time, and resources, causing stress not only to patients but also to their families and friends. Protect your health, starting from the dining table! Diet plays a crucial role in preventing cancer. Dr. Baoqing Li, the Director of Radiation Oncology at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, will give a lecture on diet and cancer prevention, guiding you through the importance of a healthy diet and how it can help prevent cancer.
Dr. Li is a board-certified radiation oncologist and currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiation Oncology at Weill Cornell Medical College. After obtaining his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Miami School of Medicine in 2000, Dr. Li earned his medical degree from New York Medical College in 2005. He completed his radiation oncology residency at the UC Davis Cancer Center and served as Chief Resident from 2009 to 2010. In July 2010, Dr. Li joined the faculty of Weill Cornell Medical College in the Department of Radiation Oncology and was appointed as an Assistant Professor in August 2011. Dr. Li also serves as a full-time Assistant Attending Physician at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital and as a Clinical Director. His clinical expertise includes head and neck, lung, breast, gastrointestinal, and prostate cancers. He has published numerous clinical and basic science research papers in top peer-reviewed journals. In addition, he actively participates in training and mentoring medical students, radiation oncology residents, and dental residents. Dr. Li has received two significant awards from the American Cancer Society and the American Society for Radiation Oncology.
Since 2007, ACAP has been organizing an annual Community Health Fair, providing free health lectures, health information, and various on-site health screening services to the Chinese community. In addition, ACAP hosts monthly health lectures in the community.

李葆青医生是一位获得执业证的放射肿瘤学专家,现任康奈尔医学院威尔分校的临床放射肿瘤学助理教授。2000年获得迈阿密大学医学院分子生物学博士学位后,李医生于2005年在纽约医学院获得医学博士学位。他在加利福尼亚大学戴维斯分校癌症中心完成了放射肿瘤学住院医师培训,并在2009年至2010年期间担任首席住院医师。2010年7月,李医生加入了康奈尔医学院的放射肿瘤学教师团队,并于2011年8月被任命为助理教授。李医生担任纽约长老会皇后区医院的全职助理主治医师,同时还担任临床主任。他的临床专长领域包括头颈部、肺部、乳腺、胃肠和前列腺癌。他在一流同行评审期刊上发表了大量的临床和基础科学研究论文。此外,他积极参与培养和指导实习医生、放射肿瘤学住院医师和牙科住院医师。李医生曾获得美国临床肿瘤学会癌症基金会和美国镭射学会颁发的两项重要奖项。
